We recently threw an incredible sleepover celebration for my soon-to-be 10-year-old daughter! The plan was to host a fabulous spa party that included nail painting, facials, makeup, and sparkly face gems, followed by a delicious feast, birthday cake for dessert, and a movie marathon before bedtime. However, keeping these lively girls engaged for a long time turned out to be quite the challenge!
To start, these clever kids dove right into the spa activities, and what I anticipated would take 2-3 hours flew by in just 1 hour! They polished off dinner in a flash! And good luck finding a movie that none of them had already seen! In the blink of an eye, my grand sleepover plans vanished in just 2 hours, haha!
In a moment of urgency, I found myself frantically searching online for sleepover activities to keep these girls entertained for the next five or so hours. While I searched I handed over their thank you gifts which amongst them were a few glow sticks and suddenly, the girls erupted into song, wearing their glow sticks as bracelets and necklaces and it dawned on me that we had a Bluetooth karaoke microphone! This would surely keep them singing and laughing for an hour or two. However, I still needed to come up with more ideas, so I compiled a list for you to use when you book our sleepover .
